Hey everyone! I'm heading to Russia on a business trip next month from Canada, and I've heard the visa process can be pretty tedious with lots of documents and embassy visits. Has anything improved recently, or do I still have to go through the traditional application route?

I totally understand where you're coming from—I used to dread the paperwork too. But I’ve got good news: Russia rolled out a Uni e-Visa system in April 2025 https://visabot.co/visa/russian-visa for short-term travel. As a Canadian citizen, you’re eligible to use it. I used the online form to check my status and applied without stepping foot in a consulate. It was super fast and straightforward—just uploaded my passport info and travel details, and I had the approved visa in a few days. For short business trips, it’s an excellent solution.
